Celebrate Recovery® of Monticello meets every Friday starting January 24 at 6:00 P.M. at Monticello Christian Church which is located at 233 S. Dillard St. on the corner of Jackson and Dillard in Monticello. It is free and open to the public. Registration is not necessary to participate and you do not need to be a member or attendee of Monticello Christian Church to attend.

Celebrate Recovery® of Monticello meets weekly to offer support to people with emotional struggles, relational issues, addictions, or any thoughts and behaviors that interfere with a joyful life. This is an ongoing program based on Christian principles as applied to the 12 Steps and the 8 Beatitudes. The only requirement is a desire to come and listen. We are regular people looking for help with hurts, habits, or hang-ups.

Celebrate Recovery®, founded by Rick Warren (New York Times best-selling author of “The Purpose Driven Life”) and John Baker, has achieved gratifying results by offering “wholeness” to people everywhere. This program is not simply to recover from past sins and hurts, but to become Christ-like in character. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

A ministry sponsored by Monticello Christian Church, associate minister Michael Henry emphasizes, “This program isn’t just about alcohol and drugs. This is also for individuals dealing with sexual addiction, shame and guilt, co-dependency, divorce, grief and other hurts, habits and hang-ups. We want to provide an environment where people can deal with their issues privately and anonymously.”

The program starts with fellowship and coffee at 5:30 P.M. A large group meeting starts at 6 P.M. with Biblically-based teachings and music. At 7 P.M., small sharing groups are offered. These small groups are divided into men’s and women’s groups and are safe places to give and receive positive support for individual needs. At 8 P.M. a light dinner of sandwiches and chips will be served.

Please join us every Friday for our meetings.  For further information, visit www.facebook.com/MonticelloChristianChurch or www.monticellochristian.webs.com or send an email to [email protected]

Founded in 1976, Monticello Christian Church seeks meet people right where they are and helping them take their next step on their spiritual journey. Monticello Christian Church seeks to restore the Church to New Testament principles as laid out in the Bible. Where the Bible speaks, we speak, where the Bible is silent, we are silent. Under the leadership of Senior Minister Jerry Ebert, we seek to reach out in love, to love one another as the Messiah has loved us.
